Green Warriors Unite!

Over two Sundays, July 14th and 21st, more than 80 dedicated participants joined hands for a greener future. Funded by HSBC and organized by Sevavardhini in collaboration with Deccan Education Society, the event was a remarkable success. On July 14th, volunteers engaged in tree planting, cleaning rainwater channels, and removing invasive Congress grass. The following week featured another round of planting and an insightful talk by Dr. Mungikar on plant identification. Despite the heavy rainfall, the spirit remained high, leading to the planting of 100 trees. A heartfelt thanks to Amol Katikar and Akshay Agashe from Sevavardhini for their excellent management, and to Nachiket Kelkar and Girija Sirshikar for their diligent monitoring. Special appreciation goes to HSBC coordinator Savita Nakate, and our supporters from DES, Fergusson College, and Pranjal Nursery.
